Dr. Kaida is an associate professor, research scientist, and the Canada Research Chair in Global Perspectives on HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health, in the Faculty of Health Sciences, at Simon Fraser University. She is also an Associate Member External in the Division of AIDS in the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS, and an Affiliated Investigator for Vancouver Coastal Health.
Dr. Kaida received a bachelor’s degree in Biology in the University of Waterloo, her master’s in Epidemiology at the University of Alberta, her PhD in Healthcare and Epidemiology and Post-doctorate in Women’s Health and Infectious Diseases at the University of British Columbia.
Her research focuses on HIV/AIDS, public health, health services, life cycles (childhood, adolescence, adulthood, etc.), and social determinants of health.
