Accessibility

The CTN has made every effort to develop a website that is accessible to a wide range of visitors. However, some visitors may have trouble opening or using certain components of the site. The information below addresses the more common accessibility problems visitors may face.

Using your web browser
A web browser is the software programme through which you access and navigate the web. Examples of browsers include Internet Explorer, Netscape, Safari and FireFox. Browsers are equipped with numerous features that can help you use online content more effectively. Information and a tutorial on these features should be available through your browser’s Help menu. You can also try visiting the website of the company that made your browser if you need additional help with this software.

Adjusting text size in your browser
The text in the CTN website should be viewable at any resolution. You can make the text larger or smaller to suit your individual needs, though some lines of text may wrap at higher magnifications.

To adjust the font size on CTN web pages, change the settings on your browser by following the instructions below:

  • Select “View” in the menu bar
  • Depending on your browser’s options, either:
  • Select “Text Size” (“Text Zoom” in some versions) and select a higher or lower magnification, depending on your needs or:
  • Select “Make Text Bigger” or “Make Text Smaller” (“Increase Font” or “Decrease Font” in some versions)
  • Check the size of the font on your screen. If it still does not meet your needs, either:
  • Select “Text Size” again and continue adjusting the magnification or:
  • Continue selecting “Make Text Bigger” or “Make Text Smaller” until the text is the appropriate size.

Note: The resolution that you have your screen set to could affect the outcome of increasing text size.
